Why Baileigh Jane’s Indiepop “We Change” Hits So Hard

Baileigh Jane is no stranger to crafting indie pop with a sugar-spun touch. Its intensely personal and deliciously deep, with heartfelt lyrics and hazy vocals that make up her signature sound. They’re also no stranger to Concert Crap but lately, they’ve been catching the attention of OnesToWatch, V13, and Out Loud Radio, racking up close to 10k streams in the last few releases alone.

Their latest single, “We Change,” takes vulnerability to a whole new level. Released just weeks after their acclaimed track “Better”, which honored Pride Month, “We Change” is a raw, indiepop anthem about acceptance, courage, and the difficult process of letting go. Especially when it comes to family.

“When we exhaust all our resources, and we feel our peace is next in line, we have to have the courage to acknowledge that reality. Sometimes things just don’t work too, and that’s okay. While this song could be about any relationship that needs ending, I was inspired to write this by my relationship with my mom, whom I haven’t spoken to in 5 years.”

Paired with Baileigh’s coastal twang and blend of indiepop, R&B, and psychedelic sounds, “We Change” is the perfect way to cap off a year of releases, leading up to the release of their EP Transitions, due for release on August 29th.

Their previous projects, including the Only Human EP (2021), have seen significant success, with songs licensed on major platforms like MTV, PBS, and Netflix, and gaining traction across college radio nationwide.

Stream “We Change” now, and follow Baileigh Jane on Instagram, Spotify, and their official website to stay updated on their evolving musical journey.
