Rebel For a Cause: LA Hardcore Endows Charity For the Children Fest

It was that time of year again where we give and receive as Christmas come around. There are families out celebrating with holiday cheer. Then, there are those who are struggling, living in fear with woes and tears. The For the Children charity event at The Belasco called some of the biggest bands in Los Angeles and all around the states to give back to children in need. Read more about one of the best of fests in 2024.

The weekend was one of the biggest nights for the notorious county and it is day two. The Beautiful Ones, On Broken Wings, Big Boy, Minority Unit and Gorilla Biscuits had drawn hundreds of hardcore fans to come out and support and have one heck of a bloody good time at the show. And it was. Many of the alluring Angelenos left looking like orange pulp. Split imaginary of the crass crowd wasn’t faint of heart.

You got to have courage, passion and respect to the music and the cause itself. Bravery and honor are set in stone among these men that share the stage as you pay attention closely to their lyrics and the guests they introduce to the audience. I had the impression that there were no outsiders looking in. There wasn’t one dull moment as everyone synchronized. Sounds of pure harmony bombarded with inviting hatred.
