Shaky Knees Fest 2025 In Atlanta GA

Sunday: The final surge

Sunday didn’t feel like the end—it felt like one last chance to go all in. The crowd showed up early and loud, ready to soak up every note left in the weekend. The air buzzed with the kind of excitement that only comes after two days of music and memories, the kind that pushes you to forget the sore feet and lean into the moment. The park pulsed with energy, alive with thousands of people chasing one more unforgettable day of music under the Atlanta sun.

The day was stacked with performances that captured everything Shaky Knees stands for. Alabama Shakes filled the park with soul, Brittany Howard’s powerhouse vocals echoing with emotion and control that stopped people mid-conversation. Devo delivered their own brand of eccentric brilliance—strange, theatrical, and completely mesmerizing. Wet Leg owned the stage with sheer grit and confidence, Rhean Teasdale’s performance radiating power and defiance that cut through the afternoon heat. Franz Ferdinand had the crowd moving as one, every riff and chorus landing perfectly. The Stews brought a youthful, unpolished fire that reminded everyone how exciting new rock can be, while Vampire Weekend tied it all together with their signature balance of sophistication and fun, setting the stage for one last legendary set.

Then came Blink-182, closing the weekend with a mix of chaos, humor, and heart. From the first chord, the park was electric—fans singing every lyric, strangers laughing together, and a sea of hands raised high under the lights. The chemistry between Tom, Mark, and Travis was effortless, their energy feeding off the crowd’s until the entire field felt like one giant celebration. As the performance and the festival began to come to an end, fireworks erupted over Piedmont Park, painting the sky with color as cheers filled the air. It was the perfect ending—loud, emotional, and full of joy.

As the smoke from the fireworks drifted away and people slowly began to head toward the exits, the feeling was universal: no one wanted it to end. Shaky Knees 2025 wasn’t just three days of music—it was a reminder of connection, of community, of why live music still matters so deeply. From the first chord on Friday to the last spark on Sunday, Atlanta once again proved that when the bands play and the lights come up, there’s no place quite like Shaky Knees.

About Scott Zambito 25 Articles
I’m a concert photographer based in Atlanta, GA, with deep roots in music. I grew up behind a drum kit, and that rhythm-first mindset still fuels everything I do. Being both a musician and a photographer gives me a unique edge when I’m shooting live shows—I can feel the energy shifts, anticipate the beats, and capture those split-second moments that define a performance. Whether I’m in the pit or backstage, I’m always chasing the shot that tells the story. I don’t just photograph shows—I live them. Some of my favorite bands include Deftones, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Incubus, and Tool—many of which feature some of my all-time favorite drummers.
