Who: Glass Animals
Where: Shoreline Amphitheater Mountain View, California
When: September 11, 2024
Glass Animals gave it their all and brought their high energy (and space station-esk stage) to the California Bay Area. Fans packed the outdoor amphitheater and celebrated the release of I Love You So F***ing Much together.
Fans have been waiting what seemed to be ages for a follow up to Glass Animals’ critically acclaimed album Dreamland, and their patience finally paid off. Songs like “Creatures In Heaven” and “Wonderful Nothing” quickly became fan favorites upon release, and was obvious with the reaction and number of people singing along during their live performance.
The entire band was at the top of their game, but vocalist Dave Bayley was on a completely different level. Bayley made the stage his own and fitting for the stage setup gave a performance that was out of this world constantly running around the stage and dancing eccentrically. Prior to performing their breakout song “Gooey,” Bayley ran out into the crowd to greet their fans while continuing to perform the song off-stage. Fans showed their love for the band as they held up their phones and colored flashes as Glass Animals readied themselves to play “Lost in the Ocean.” Bayley expressed his gratitude for their fans, as he performed the song from a spotlight and rising podium.
It was an incredible night between a talented band and their amazing fans, both combining to make it a special show and experience.
