Atlanta’s Buckhead Theatre was the epicenter of controlled chaos as Architects brought their crushing live show to town, backed by a stacked lineup featuring ERRA and Holywatr. Fans packed the sold out Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta early, eager with anticipation for a night rooted in heavy riffs, mind blowing intensity, and the kind of cathartic release only a metalcore show can deliver. From the moment the lights dropped, it was clear this wasn’t going to be just another tour stop—it was going to be a night of metal and mayhem.

The night opened with Holywatr, who delivered a melodic yet powerful energy that stood out in a lineup dominated by heaviness. Rather than relying on sheer volume, their set focused on mood and tone, offering a refreshing contrast that gradually pulled the crowd in. Though they may have been the least familiar name on the bill, they quickly captured the attention of everyone in attendance with a performance strong enough to earn a spot on those in attendance new favorite band lists. For many, myself included, it was a first impression that left a lasting mark.

ERRA took the stage next, and it immediately felt like a punch to the chest. Their blend of technical precision and raw power struck a strong chord with the audience—especially their loyal fans who have followed the band’s steady rise in the heavy metal scene. Complex guitar passages collided with soaring choruses and thunderous rhythms, all without ever feeling cluttered. The band’s on-stage chemistry carried seamlessly from one song to the next, keeping the room charged with energy and saturated in their roaring sound. By the end of their set, the crowd’s energy was off the charts and primed for the chaos to come.

When Architects finally appeared, the venue erupted. From the first riff, the band delivered a set that was sharp, confident, and emotionally charged. Sam Carter’s vocals cut cleanly through the mix, while the rest of the band locked into grooves that balanced weight and clarity. The lighting design enhanced the music rather than overshadowing it, allowing each dynamic shift to land with added impact. Architects let their music speak for itself, and the crowd responded in kind—singing, moshing, and chanting in perfect sync. That mutual energy transformed a great performance into a communal high point, proving that spectacle isn’t always about pyrotechnics and production—it’s about sharing music that speaks to each and every one of us.

Overall, the show underscored why Architects remain a benchmark for modern metalcore. ERRA reinforced their status as a formidable live act, while Holywatr provided a moody introduction that rounded out the bill. Together, the three bands delivered a balanced, high-impact evening that left Atlanta fans with ringing ears and drenched in sweat—an experience that will resonate well beyond the walls of Buckhead Theatre.

About Scott Zambito 25 Articles
I’m a concert photographer based in Atlanta, GA, with deep roots in music. I grew up behind a drum kit, and that rhythm-first mindset still fuels everything I do. Being both a musician and a photographer gives me a unique edge when I’m shooting live shows—I can feel the energy shifts, anticipate the beats, and capture those split-second moments that define a performance. Whether I’m in the pit or backstage, I’m always chasing the shot that tells the story. I don’t just photograph shows—I live them. Some of my favorite bands include Deftones, Foo Fighters, Led Zeppelin, Incubus, and Tool—many of which feature some of my all-time favorite drummers.
