Olivia Rodrigo Raised How Much For Non-Profit Organizations?!

Olivia Rodrigo hosted and headlined her very own music festival called Daisy Chain Fields that had the main purpose to raise money to donate to nonprofit organizations. Having a women only lineup for this festival and nonprofit foundations to bring advocate for women and girls made for a historical and iconic moment in the music world and activism community. Organizations like Headcount, Planned Parenthood, Baby2Baby, Freeform, and other amazing partners came together and had a presence at the event. Bringing awareness and advocating was prioritized with this festival and that’s why it made a huge difference economically and why so many attendees decided to grab tickets to make it to the event.

With the help of multiple artists like Doechii, Not For Radio, Eli, etc, Olivia managed to raise $10 million dollars to donate to 10 nonprofit partners. At the beginning of her own set, she made an astounding announcement that philanthropist, Melinda French Gates, had agreed to match and double the donation of $10 million dollars to $20 million dollars which means that 20 nonprofit organizations will be getting a massive donation. Olivia’s goal of making a difference and bringing the community together to make a difference was successful, her main purpose for the festival was “about what can happen when we come together and use our collective power to support one another.”

Olivia’s performance was nonetheless an outstanding show by performing her top music hits, bringing out surprise guests like Alanis Morissette, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks. Rodrigo performed her new song “serena joy” at the beginning of her set and the crowd really took it in, then she followed with “maggots for brains,” which had the crowd jumping up and down with joy. As ecstatic as the beginning was, the songs that followed were the epitome of an Olivia Rodrigo concert.

She then brought out Sarah McLachlan, who is a well-known singer songwriter known for Lilith Fair. Lilith Fair was an innovative and revolutionary all-female music festival founded by Sarah in the late-90s that traveled around North America. Olivia and Sarah sang “Building a Mystery” and “Angel,” which Sarah dedicated to the recently departed Dolly Parton. While dedicating “Angel” to Dolly Parton, Sarah referred to her as “the OG matriarch, beautiful goddess of country music.”

Following this heartwarming moment, Olivia continued with her greatest hits and sang the most well-known song named “drivers license.” Now this song was the one that had the crowd up, down, and yelling at the top of their lungs. Although Rodrigo has performed with Robert Smith from The Cure band last year, she performed her very own “the cure,” which is one of her most recent releases this year from her new-ish album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.

Olivia Rodrigo really knew how to make the show even better, she then announced Alanis Morisette on stage and performed “ironic” as a duo, this was the only artist that performed that was a complete surprise and shock to the crowd. Afterward, Olivia continued to sing her hits “all-american bitch” and “deja vu.”

Ultimately, no one can outdo Olivia Rodrigo at her own festival, but bringing out Stevie Nicks made it pretty clear that the show can always be better. Stevie Nicks, the voice of the legendary Fleetwood Mac band, came out and performed the all-time favorite, “Landslide.” To say it was ethereal would not be enough. Everyone in the crowd swayed and sang along with Olivia and Stevie. The perfect ending to her amazing festival, the fans will forever remember being at the first ever Daisy Chain Fields festival and remember the fascinating performance she put on.
