Meet Will Ettante: The Soundtrack To Your Breakdown

For every Millennial parent who has cried in the minivan while their kid screamed about juice, Will Ettante sees you. With absurdist lyrics and a sharp emotional edge, Will’s prankster spirit channels the everyday chaos of life into catchy, substantive songs – a la Bo Burnham or Flight of the Conchords. Like his predecessors, Will infuses charm and wit to tackle the transformational experiences of grief, parenthood, and life’s bumpy road. Today, he releases his debut single, “Kids Menu Overcharge.”

“Some songs are carefully and meticulously composed in a dark room under a dim light, and others spontaneously burst out into the world in a moment of furious glory. In the case of Kids Menu Overcharge, the entire song structure materialized during a fifteen-minute schlep between a sandwich shop and the car – toddler in one arm and phone voice memo recording in the other hand. Tidbits of that first voice memo remain in the final version, integrated into Jerome and Sam’s playful production. So far no restaurants have changed their prices in response to this song, but we have to remain optimistic.” -Will Ettante

Weaving wordplay, parody, and self-deprecation into multiple genres, Will Ettante’s music is born from an insatiable urge to bring light and joy to the heaviest and most mundane parts of life. While the guitar stands at the center of Will’s musical composition and performance, his songwriting originates from lived-in humor mixed with the universal experiences of loss, love, and aging. Will’s encounters with grief (losing both his mom and his brother within one month) deeply inform his perspective as an artist who seeks to unify and heal through music, and it is this ethos that makes his music as sincere as it is hilarious.

With a vast instrumental catalog under the name Will Tynan, Will Ettante lets loose the pop-culture alter ego of the musician in the upcoming Vdad three-part album, which integrates unplanned voice memos, layered acoustic folk songs, and glossy pop and rock bangers.

As a musician, Will has played everywhere from SXSW to the El Rey Theater in Los Angeles. True to his DIY spirit, he’s also in the midst of a series of house-concerts aptly named The Living Room Tour, which will take him to more than ten cities before the end of 2025.

Outside of music, Will has taken a winding path as an entrepreneur, investor, and corporate coach and facilitator for companies across the world. This work took him across Latin America and Europe, and led him to design experiential workshops that helped people infuse creativity into their daily lives and work. This included helping executives from one of the largest cellphone companies write and perform a play from scratch in front of a 200-person live audience in two days.

Ultimately, what Will wants most is for people to feel seen, and for them to be transported into a hilarious and heartfelt emotional journey through his music. His debut pop album, Vdad, out early 2026 aims to do exactly that.
