JoJo’s Too Much to Say Tour made its way to a sold-out hometown show at The Wiltern on Tuesday, March 4, delivering an unforgettable night of music. With Emmy Meli opening the show, the evening was packed with powerhouse vocals, electrifying energy, and a deep sense of empowerment—especially for women in music.
Emmy Meli wasted no time in making her presence known. From the moment she stepped onto the stage, her energy was infectious, captivating the audience with her dynamic performance. She closed her set with her viral anthem “I AM WOMAN,” delivering an emotional speech about her immigrant parents who came from Mexico to build a better life for her. In a powerful moment, she declared, “Latino people have the right to exist here” and “You can’t erase me, bitch,” further igniting the crowd. The audience roared as she led them in a chant of, “I hold the power, bitch,” setting a defiant and inspiring tone for the rest of the night.

When JoJo took the stage, the crowd erupted. She opened with “Off Again,” immediately drawing everyone into her world of soulful R&B. Just three songs in, she threw it back with one of her early 2000s classics, “Baby It’s You,” sending fans into a nostalgic frenzy. Throughout the night, the audience danced and sang along, completely entranced by JoJo’s outstanding vocals and commanding presence.

A particularly heartwarming moment came when JoJo brought out her best friend’s kids, Bear and Cassandra, for their first-ever concert experience, introducing them to the ecstatic crowd. The energy in the room was electric as she continued to impress with her all-female band, proudly noting that this was her first time touring with an all-woman ensemble.

As if the night couldn’t get any better, JoJo stunned the audience by bringing out Tori Kelly for a duet of SWV’s “Weak” and a small rendition of “Bottom Line.” The powerhouse vocalists blended beautifully, making for an unforgettable highlight of the show.

JoJo also paid homage to some of her favorite artists with covers of Drake’s “Marvin’s Room,” SZA’s “Love Galore,” and Teddy Swims’ “Lose Control.” Each performance showcased her signature vocal agility and emotional depth, leaving fans in awe.
Midway through the set, she treated the audience to an outfit change before diving into her two biggest early 2000s hits, “Leave (Get Out)” and “Too Little Too Late,” both of which had the crowd screaming every lyric.

JoJo closed the night with “Porcelain,” a stunning and emotional finale that left the audience completely mesmerized. The combination of her vocal prowess, raw emotion, and the show’s empowering energy made for a truly memorable experience.
By the end of the night, fans left The Wiltern feeling inspired, energized, and in absolute awe of both Emmy Meli and JoJo. It was a celebration of talent, resilience, and feminine power—an unforgettable night that proved why these two artists continue to captivate audiences everywhere.
