Falling In Reverse Take Over Dallas – Photos & Review

The night kicked off with Sleep Theory, a band still fresh on the scene but already moving like seasoned veterans. Riding high off the release of their debut EP ‘Paper Hearts’, and recent release “Afterglow”, they brought a sound that felt equal parts polished and raw, with the kind of infectious hooks that stick in your head long after the house lights come up. Tracks like “Gone or Staying” and “Static” had the crowd singing along word for word with intensity. Their genre-blending style, balances heavy riffs with smooth, R&B-inspired vocal runs, that gives them a unique edge. You could feel the curiosity in the room transform into full-blown fandom as the set went on. By the time they walked off stage, it wasn’t just an opening performance; it was a statement of arrival.

Then came Tech N9ne, the veteran who never lets up. At 52, he bounded onto the stage with the stamina of someone half his age, unleashing his rapid-fire verses with surgical precision. His 2023 album ‘BLISS’ was woven into the set, but it was his catalog of underground anthems and cult classics that really electrified the crowd. The room turned into a thunderous call-and-response as fans bellowed “KCMO!” between tracks, fists pumping in unison. Tech has always been more than a rapper; he’s a ringmaster, a force of nature that bends the crowd to his rhythm. Watching him live is less about hearing the songs you know and more about witnessing how seamlessly he stitches them together, building an atmosphere that’s equal parts ferocity and celebration.

Wage War followed with the kind of firepower that can only be described as relentless. From the first downbeat, the floor erupted into chaos, and the air was thick with the collective release of every guttural scream. Their new single “Magnetic” has already been stirring buzz, and live, it hit with even more force, blending the melodic choruses and crushing breakdowns they’ve become known for. Frontman Briton Bond’s screams tore through the mix, while Seth Blake’s clean vocals gave the set moments of unexpected beauty amid the storm. That balance, the brutality alongside the melody, is what makes Wage War so addicting in a live setting. Their set wasn’t just heavy, it was cathartic, the kind of performance that leaves you wrung out but grinning ear to ear. I was beyond ecstatic seeing them play live for the first time, and I’ll definitely be seeing them again very soon.

Closing the night was Falling In Reverse, and if the earlier sets weren’t powerful enough already, this was the explosion everyone had been waiting for. Ronnie Radke has built his reputation on chaos and showmanship, and the band’s production delivered that in spades. Pyro blasted, screens flickered with cinematic visuals, and the crowd screamed every word of new single “God Is A Weapon” like it had been a staple for years. The setlist swung from the dramatic intensity of “Voices in My Head” to the nostalgic punch of “The Drug in Me Is You”, weaving old-school favorites with their modern, genre-defying hits. They even played the infamous cover of ‘Situations’, recorded with Ronnie’s previous band Escape The Fate in 2006. Radke stalked the stage with the confidence of someone who knows exactly how to provoke, charm, and command a room all at once. Love him or not, there’s no denying the spectacle he creates. By the final chorus, the venue wasn’t just alive—it was detonated, leaving fans buzzing with the kind of adrenaline only a Falling In Reverse show can summon.

What really set this performance apart though, was when Ronnie left the stage and went straight into the crowd. Instead of keeping the spectacle at a distance, he turned the floor into his own arena, weaving through fans as the band ripped behind him. Radke wasn’t just putting on a show—he was in it with them, stopping mid-verse to take selfies, crouching down to snap photos with kids who came to see him. The moment blurred the line between performer and audience, turning what was already a high-octane headliner into something intimate and unforgettable. For a few minutes, the chaos of the production gave way to connection, and the roar of the crowd proved just how magnetic his presence really is. As if the set wasn’t already stacked with surprises, Ronnie amped the energy up another level by bringing Tech N9ne back out to join him on stage for their new single “Ronald”. The two traded verses with a stunning electric feel, and it was amazing watching two forces of chaos feed off of each other in real-time.

Altogether, the lineup delivered one of those rare nights where every act felt like a headliner in their own right. From fresh newcomers to grizzled veterans, from pit-sparking breakdowns to theatrical chaos, it was the kind of show that reminds you why live music is unmatched.
