Cradle of Filth Bring Chaos, Carnage, and Unholy Energy to Houston

Houston’s House of Blues was packed wall-to-wall with metalheads on Sunday, as Cradle of Filth rolled through on their Chaos and Carnage tour. I missed the openers (sometimes you just can’t catch everyone), but COF made sure I didn’t regret a thing…

From the moment they launched into “To Live Deliciously,” the crowd (and myself) was locked in and ready to jam. Dani Filth’s shrieking vocals echoed like his usual demonic ritual self, backed by thunderous guitars that rattled the venue’s bones. They tore through a set-list stacked with dark gems including “The Forest Whispers My Name,” “She Is a Fire,” “Heartbreak and Seance,” “Malignant Perfection,” “Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids,” and “Death Magick for Adepts.”

What really stood out was how engaging they were… Dani kept pulling the crowd in, throwing devilish grins, gesturing for more screams, and feeding off the chaos in the pit. This wasn’t a band just going through the motions… it was a full-scale gothic assault, and Houston was here for every minute of it.

By the time they closed with the haunting “Her Ghost in the Fog,” the room felt like it had been through a dark, twisted journey – sweaty, exhausted, but still completely alive. I couldn’t imagine a better set, luckily Ive been graced with their presence before, so I knew what to expect, but man did they set surpass all of my expectations and visions for the night. These talented individuals really know how do deliver a masterpiece of a show.

Cradle of Filth didn’t just play Houston… they literally possessed it.
