Nashville singer-songwriter Brittany Bexton has just premiered her deeply personal and emotionally charged new music video for “I Remember You” with Country’s Chatter. The fourth single from her forthcoming album Metamorphosis is a testament to resilience, friendship, and the power of remembering one’s true self in the face of adversity.
“We all go through difficult times,” says Bexton, “and when we do it’s important to have the right voices around us. The friends that will tell us the truth and remind us who we are in the midst of our pain. When I wrote “I Remember You,” I had been watching a friend go through a really rough time. I wanted to encourage them, that the circumstances and pain they were going through were not their identity. I still remembered them; and even if they were struggling to remember who they are through the pain of what they were going through, I wanted to let them know that I was there to remind them of who they truly are.”
A fusion of heartfelt storytelling and Bexton’s signature blend of soulful, rootsy rock, with a message of hope, “I Remember You” follows the success of her last single, “Dance with the Devil”, which gained recognition on two Mediabase charts topping out at #36 on the Top40 Mediabase chart, and 35 on the HotAC chart.
Raised on the powerhouse sounds of Aretha Franklin, Motown, and rock and roll, Bexton has been performing since childhood. She refined her craft through professional theater, classical and jazz singing, and years of relentless touring. Since moving to Nashville in 2011, she has played in 19 states, graced stages alongside Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Craig Wayne Boyd, and Sarah Buxton, and performed at renowned venues like 12th & Porter and The Rutledge.
Her music is more than melody and lyrics; it’s a mission. A fierce advocate against domestic abuse, Bexton uses her platform to raise awareness and help others heal. Her book, Learning to Believe Again: 30 Days to Finding Hope, Faith & Comfort in God’s Truth (2020), echoes the same themes of redemption and strength found in her music.
With “I Remember You”, Bexton continues to solidify her reputation as an artist who crafts songs with lasting impact. As she gears up for the release of Metamorphosis, she remains focused on growing her reach, connecting with audiences, and using her voice to inspire.
