Where: Wonder Ballroom Portland, Oregon
When: May 8, 2019
With multiple shows across the country sold out or upgraded to larger venues, LÉON brings her highly anticipated tour to a Portland audience that danced through the entire set.
LÉON gave the Portland crowd everything she had, and had the time of her life while doing so. She was all smiles, moving and dancing around the stage, kneeling low to hold the hands of those in the front row and entertained the audience with the stories behind the songs she was performing. The Portland audience matched and gave LÉON’s energy, singing along and dancing to every beat all night. Even LÉON commented on the liveliness of the crowd, and how great it made her feel to see everyone dancing and singing along to even her latest music.
Being the You And I Tour in support of her debut album, the tour’s setlist was heavy on her latest tracks. LÉON was sure not to disappoint fans, and still featured fan favorites such as “I Think About You,” “I Beleive In Us” and “Surround Me.” She even surprised audiences with a cover of Fleetwood Mac.
A tour that was appropriately presented by Ones to Watch, LÉON is surely an artist to keep your eye on. Now with her debut album out after a string of EP’s, LÉON has found her sound and audience. LÉON turns the stage and venue into her own world, bringing plants and lamps onto the stage to create the illusion she’s performing these songs in her living room. She makes a sold-out venue feel intimate and welcomes the audience into her world. It’s an experience that leaves a lasting memory and an experience that will spread to greater audiences with the talent and promise LÉON shows.
