Interview: Boys of Fall Talk Playing the 7/20 Date of Warped Tour

Concert Crap: You are playing Vans Warped Tour 7/20 on the Full Sail University stage. What was your first reaction when you heard you were playing?

Mike Martenson: We were humbled and honored. Warped Tour is a staple in the alternative rock scene and it’s something we always wanted to be on a full run of. Although it’s sad we can’t, we’re just excited to be able to play it and enjoy all the music with everyone.

CC: Warped Tour has a lot of bands performing and short set times. How are you going to make your mark on Warped Tour attendees?

MM: Our set has always been energetic and crowds involving. Our goal is to capture you for a moment and pull you in. That’s always been our mark. If we can get your head nodding, we achieved our goal.

CC: For anyone who wants to check you out before your set, what 3 songs would be best?

MM: “Definitely No Good For Me,” “Chasing Lonely,” and “Looking On The Brightside”

CC: Who are you excited to check out thatis performing on Warped Tour?

MM: Don Broco 100%. They’ve become a band favorite and we’re so stoked watching them blow up like they deserve.

CC: What are you hoping you get from the experience of playing Warped Tour?

MM: New faces that enjoy our music and some awesome chances to hang out with bands we look up to and enjoy.

CC: Do you have anything else to add?

MM: Check us out on Spotify and pick up our EP Chasing Lonely on Invogue Records!
