It’s Not Dead festival brings back punk rock roots


Punk rock fans can now rejoice because the inaugural It’s Not Dead Festival has been announced.  Too many rock shows, especially Vans Warped Tour, have shifted their dynamic away from punk rock music roots.  But now there is a new and exclusive show to the genre.

The It’s Not Dead Festival will take place Saturday October 10 at the San Manuel Amphitheater in San Bernardino, California.

Vans Warped Tour founder and punk rock enthusiast, Kevin Lyman, helped  bring the punk rock event to life.

On the main stage are numerous punk rock legends, including: Bad Religion, Descendents. Pennywise, 7 Seconds, Anti-Flag, Fishbone, Goldfinger, H2O, Lagwagon, Less Than Jake, Reel Big Fish, Strung Out, The Bouncing Souls, The Vandals and NOFX.

On the second stage is: The Adolescents, Agent Orange, CJ Ramone, Devils Brigade, Duane Peters Gunfight, Manic Hispanic, Pulley, Riverboat Gamblers, Sham 69, Swinging’ Utters, The Dickies and TSOL.

On the third stage is: DI, Left Alone, Otherized, Rhythmic Asylum, The Briggs, The Interrupters, The Untouchables and Total Chaos.

Vans will have an Old Skool Jam Skaters area with: Mike Fraizer, Steve Caballero, Christian Hosoi, Neal Hendrix, ALex Pererson, Omar Hassan, Josh Borden, Lizzie Armanto and BMXer Dennis McCoy.

Overnight camping is available for those traveling out of the area.

Tickets are on sale Monday June 22.
